Creative Arts Exposition
The Oxford NAACP seeks submissions of visual and/or literary arts to celebrate the anniversary of the birthday of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Black History Month (in February).
All entries should reflect the student’s original ideas and/or feelings about the inspiration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and/or other civil rights activists. and human rights in general.
All kindergarten through high school students who reside in the Talawanda School District may submit up to two art pieces.
All students who submit entries will be recognized for their efforts.
Gift cards will be awarded to the top entries.
A panel of judges will select entries from each grade level to be on display at the celebratory event.
The Talawanda School District, the McGuffey Montessori School, Miami University, and Oxford Lane Library support this event.
• Visual: two-dimensional artwork, any medium, 9 x 12-inches or smaller.
• Written: Typed or handwritten, with a poem, essay, story, report, letter, or song on 8.5 x 11-inch paper.
Entries must be submitted, no later than 4 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2025
to the school office or teacher
The parent consent form (below) must be submitted along with the art.
